Thailand to propose Andaman national parks as world heritage sites


BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The Cabinet meeting on Tuesday (Nov 16) has approved the move to propose six national parks and one mangrove forest along the Andaman Sea as world heritage sites to the World Heritage Centre of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), said deputy government spokeswoman Traisulee Traisoranakul on Tuesday.

The move has been submitted by Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
