Malaysian artiste Soo Wincci is claiming that sponsors of her Oct 31 Simply Inwinccible concert have pulled out, purportedly due to a video clip she posted in August. When she learnt of the pullout, Soo said she would take responsibility for her statement and look for other sponsors for her concert. It was previously reported that the Taiwan-based actress-singer had posted a video clip on YouTube on Aug 30, urging Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to step down. The video was blocked 12 minutes after she posted it. She then posted the clip on Facebook.
> Toddler falls to her death
A three-year-old girl fell to her death from a fifth floor apartment in Sungai Ramal, Bangi. Nortiyah died on the spot after suffering severe head injuries, according to her 39-year-old uncle. He said her mother had left Nortiyah and her two sisters with their neighbour after Nortiyah refused to go with her mother to pick up her brother at a babysitter’s house. The neighbour, who was cooking then, was unaware that Nortiyah had gone back to her unit and locked herself in. They only learned about the incident after other neighbours found the body sprawled in a pool of blood at about 6.30pm on Tuesday.
> Slash victim's mum upset over false news of daughter’s death
The mother of a slash victim in Port Dickson expressed disappointment over fake reports claiming that her daughter was dead. The woman, who only wanted to be known as Rani, said she could not understand why people would even think of spreading such news. "My daughter has undergone two surgeries and now she is recovering very well. She can smile and have conversations with all of us. People should pray for her recovery, if they cannot do that, they should at least not spread such horrible news as it just adds to the grief we are facing," she said when met at the Port Dickson Hospital. D. Megala was a victim of violence last week, when two men repeatedly slashed her with a machete in front of a house. Both have been arrested and pleaded not guilty in court. Their next hearing has been set for Nov 13.
