118 Mall is poised to become the next vibrant addition to the Merdeka 118 precinct.
IMAGINE stepping into a space where Malaysian history meets its modern future.
This is the vision for 118 Mall, the landmark retail destination poised to become a vibrant addition to the Merdeka 118 precinct, the nation’s most prestigious address.
Flanked by the historic Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara, the mall is a curated experience where visitors can truly live the Malaysian story.
Steeped in heritage
The experience begins with the architecture, where the design pays homage to the historic Stadium Negara.
118 Mall features a soaring 88-metre dome that bathes the interiors in natural light by day and transforms into a canopy of stars by night.
At the heart of the space, the dynamic rain cloud feature cascades across three levels, creating an ever-changing, theatrical centrepiece.
Inside, the mall unfolds through a meticulously curated mix of over 300 local and international brands.
Anchoring the retail experience is the expansive 40,000sq ft Makanizm food hall, a sanctuary for flavour showcasing the very best of local and regional cuisine. Complementing it is Village Grocer, further enhancing the mall’s curated mix of offerings.
Spanning seven storeys and over 800,000sq ft, 118 Mall is set to welcome over 22 million visitors in its opening year.
Strategically located just steps away from the colourful bustle of Petaling Street, it connects directly to Menara Merdeka 118, which will be home to Malaysia's first Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and South-East Asia’s highest observation deck, The View at 118.
The mall is the core of a broader precinct that includes Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah and the 1.62ha Merdeka Boulevard at 118, a linear park that ensures seamless public connectivity.
It also includes Look At 118, which will house the Merdeka Textile Museum specialising in Malay world textiles, a curated cafe and a signature spot designed for visitors to capture the ultimate, sweeping views of the iconic tower.
Gateway to heights and culture
The mall is also seamlessly integrated with Menara Merdeka 118, serving as the main gateway to the tower’s observation deck.
Visitors can purchase tickets at the mall’s lower ground floor before heading up. Upon returning, they can exit directly to the cultural heart of the mall at the Malaysian Artisan District (M.A.D.) on Level 3.
M.A.D. is a dedicated space to celebrate homegrown talents, offering a marketplace where visitors can discover and bring home the essence of Malaysia, with items ranging from handcrafted fashion to authentic local flavours.
By embracing inclusivity, 118 Mall provides a platform for local artisans and brands to shine alongside global names, serving as a key showcase of the nation’s creative spirit under a dedicated space.
Confidence and connection
Market confidence in the 118 Mall project is palpable, with construction advancing rapidly.
PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Tengku Ab. Aziz Tengku Mahmud affirmed the momentum.
“Over 70% of 118 Mall has already been taken up by leading retailers, a clear testament to the shared excitement for what we are building here,” he said.
“The development is progressing well and remains firmly on track to open its doors to the world in 3Q 2026.”
Designed with accessibility as a priority, visitors can enter directly via the Belfield Tunnel into Basement 4 (B4), which offers over 8,000 parking bays across the mall, tower and precinct.
118 Mall also boasts seamless connectivity to Kuala Lumpur’s robust transit network, with the Merdeka MRT station linked directly to B3, and the Plaza Rakyat LRT and Maharajalela Monorail stations.
“118 Mall is more than an investment in retail; it is an investment in the Malaysian experience. We are creating a place where every person can live their story. We look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to the heart of the Merdeka 118 precinct,” concluded Tengku Ab. Aziz.
