Haneesha reaps fruits of her hard labour by lifting U-19 title


PETALING JAYA: Rising squash player V. Haneesha’s (pic) tiring training routine paid off as she lifted the girls’ Under-19 title in the Penang International Junior Open on Sunday.

The 17-year-old, who travels from Seremban to Petaling Jaya for training daily, put up a convincing show to beat compatriot Ayesha Rania Syed Kebir 11-9, 7-11, 11-3, 11-7 at the Nicol David International Squash Centre.
