PETALING JAYA: Patience won the day for J. Yasshmita (pic) as she battled her way into the semi-finals of the Ipswich Challenger Cup yesterday.

World No. 78 Yasshmita, a natural shot-maker, had to rely on basics to overcome No. 110 Lowri Roberts of Wales 11-1, 9-11, 5-11, 11-7, 11-7 in the quarter-finals.
