Sivasangari’s brave run ends against defending champ El Sherbini


PETALING JAYA: National squash player S. Sivasangari fell short of the Windy City Open semi-finals after she lost to defending champion Nour El Sherbini of Egypt in the quarter-final on Monday (Feb 9).

World No. 6 Sivasangari went the distance against world No. 5 El Sherbini, but the Egyptian came out on top after five sets to win 11-6, 6-11, 11-7, 7-11, 8-11 in a hard-fought 52 minutes at the University Club of Chicago.
