Syafiq overcomes homester Asim to book quarter-final spot

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Mohd Syafiq Kamal silenced the home crowd at the Mushaf Squash Complex when he beat Asim Khan 11-13, 11-6, 3-11, 11-5, 11-5 in the second round of the Asian Championships in Islamabad.

The world No. 75 battled for 72 minutes yesterday to down the world No. 70 in a pulsating game.
