Syasya could compete at World Cup on merit


PETALING JAYA: Podium shooter Nurul Syasya Nadiah Ariffin is in with a strong chance to compete at the World Cup in Baku from May 8-15 after scoring 578 during a trial conducted by national coach Firdaus Abdul Rahim two weeks ago.

Syasya, the Hanoi SEA Games women’s 10m pistol champion, has been struggling to get past the 570 mark while the qualifying mark to gain entry into the World Cup legs as well as the World Championships, also be held in Baku (Aug 8-15), is 578.
