PETALING JAYA: Nurul Syasya Nadiah Ariffin was pleased with her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results. Despite being distracted by training and competitions, she scored 4As, 2Bs and 3Cs. But what had her really elated was the call-up to the national shooting team.

A day before receiving her SPM results, the Johor shooter was notified by her friends about the selection as they had read the newspapers and saw her name.
