Ayuni’s Games outing ends on a sour note

GLASGOW: National shooter Nur Ayuni Farhana Abdul Halim’s outing in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games has ended without any medals.

On Monday, the 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medallist failed to qualify for the women’s 50m rifle prone when she finished a dismal 13th at the Barry Buddon Shooting Range.

She scored 612.3 points.

Her compatriot, Muslifah Zulkifli, did better to finish ninth with 613.4 points.

It was Ayuni’s last event at the Games. She was also out of the medals in the women’s 10m air rifle event two days ago.

The Malaysian failed to deliver any medals either.

Mohd Ezuan Nasir Khan was the best performer when he finished fifth in the 50m rifle prone.
