Selangor FC CEO threatened with acid attack, says source

PETALING JAYA: Selangor FC are on high alert after its chief executive officer was threatened with an acid attack.

According to a source, a team official told Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon that an unidentified person called him while he was visiting Faisal Halim in hospital on Sunday (May 5), saying that Johan would be the next acid attack victim.

The source said that Johan immediately lodged a police report.

Meanwhile, Harimau Malaya winger Faisal underwent a four-hour surgery on Sunday (May 5) night following the attack.

The national winger, who is also known as Mickey, was attacked at a shopping mall in Damansara.

The reason behind the attack is still unknown.

On May 2, national winger and Terengganu player Akhyar Rashid was robbed near his residence in Kuala Terengganu.
