Aiman-Ethan strike first gold for M’sia at Asian youth meet

PETALING JAYA: Bowlers Mohd Aiman Syahin and Ethan Damien Goh rose to the occasion in style, stealing the spotlight in the boys’ doubles to clinch Malaysia’s first gold medal at the Asian Youth Championships.

The youngsters made a gallant fight in the last four games to ensure they were on top with 2,696 pinfalls at the Sunway Megalanes here on Saturday (Aug 23).

Kuwait’s duo - Abdulrazzaq Mohamad and Hassan Qasem - finished second with 2,611 pins, while Japan’s Eita Saotome and Fumine Suda, who were leading the first two games, completed the podium with 2,594.

The other Malaysian duo - Wan Mohd Zarif Ikram and Mohd Danial Abu Samah - came in 23rd with 2,265 pins.
