PETALING JAYA: It’s double delight for national bowling pair Adelia Nur Izwan Syazalee and Adania Mohd Redzwan as they secured their second final appearance at the World Youth Championships in Megalanes Sarawak on July 5 (Sunday).

They were in commanding form as they defeated Swedish pair Nicole Layrisse-Maja Engberg 2-0 their semi-finals.

This marks their second triumph over the Swedish team in two days, having previously beating them in the mixed team event during the semi-finals on Saturday.

They face American duo Erin Klemencic and Elizabeth Teuber in the title match on Monday (July 6).

Adelia and Adania have been instrumental in the nation’s silverware pursuit at the tournament as they have won bronze in girls' team events and will face Finland in the mixed team final alongside Mohd Aiman Syahin Sulaiman and Ethan Damien Goh.

The Malaysian duo’s previous best performance as partners in the girls’ team was their title-winning run at the last championships in South Korea in 2024.
