Isyraq rolls to top prize but feels absence of someone precious

SUBANG JAYA: Sarawak’s Isyraq Iqbal Ramadhan had his mother by his side since he started bowling at the age of nine, but her absence was felt as he fulfilled his dream of winning a Malaysia Games (Sukma) gold medal.

The 19-year-old struggled to hold back tears after he clinched the men’s singles title with 1,331 pinfalls over six games at the Sunway Megalanes yesterday.
