Rookie Ayra bowls them over in US

PETALING JAYA: Ayra Nur Jehan Aminuddin (pic) may have been a little known state bowler here. But she is making waves in the United States’ collegiate bowling scene.

The 19-year-old, who represented both Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, has been in her element representing Iowa-based Mount Mercy University in the season which ended last April, earning herself the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) Rookie of the Year award.
