Aaron Chia-Aaron Tai stumble in China Open opener


PETALING JAYA: Aaron Chia and Aaron Tai's first tournament together ended in an early exit after they crashed out in the opening round of the China Open on Tuesday (July 21).

Playing at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Centre, the Malaysian pair went down 17-21, 19-21 to Indonesia's Sabar Karyaman-Reza Pahlevi in 38 minutes.

Earlier, another new pair, Tee Kai Wun-Yap Roy King, were also beaten 23-25, 17-21 by independent duo Nur Azriyn Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong in 37 minutes.
