Shuttlers brace for tougher test in Indon Masters after poor ‘warm-up’

Back in the fray: Ng Tze Yong, who will be making a return to the World Tour competition, is the top seed in the Indonesian Masters.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian shuttlers face a tough task in the Indonesian Masters in Malang starting on Tuesday if the players’ poor showing in the lower-tier Indonesian International Challenge at the same venue was anything to go by.

None of the players reached the semi-finals with only men’s singles shuttler Leong Jun Hao and independent mixed doubles pair Loo Bing Kun-Yap Cheng Wen making it to the last eight in what was supposed to serve as a warm-up before the Masters.
