Three top seeds shown exit in semis


ULU KINTA: It was a day of upsets at the National Badminton Championships with three top seeds sent packing in the semi-finals.

Unseeded Chan Peng Soon-Chow Mei Kuan started the ball rolling yesterday when they edged top seeds and world No. 9 Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing 21-17, 19-21, 21-19 in a 73-minute mixed doubles clash at the Sri Perdana Hall.
