Turning geopolitical turmoil into talent dividend

THE conflict between the United States/Israel and Iran is threatening the safety of about 30,000 Malaysians, many of whom are professionals in the financial and oil and gas industry in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

To date, the Foreign Ministry has focused on repatriating Malaysians stranded by the conflict, but those who are currently residing and working in the GCC States are encouraged to return home independently. If these Malaysians choose to return for good, we will have a massive influx of world class talent on our doorstep.
