Tips to help you learn a new language

THERE was an overwhelming response to the Selangor state government’s recent launch of free language classes through the Selangor Public Library Corp's Language Discovery programme.

It is very encouraging that so many Selangor residents are eager to learn new languages. Demand was so high that many, including myself, could not access the registration site in the first few days – a clear sign of people’s interest in learning new languages. This is good news, as research has shown that language learning helps keep the brain active, contributing to healthier ageing.
