Be aware of unscrupulous medical practitioners

I AM compelled to write this letter after experiencing the unethical practices of certain doctors and specialist centres in our country.

I became aware of this when I took my son, who was having severe eye pain, to a specialist eye centre in the city a few months ago. Before any doctor could see him, he was asked to do a vision test. The nurse then asked if any family member had glaucoma. When I told her I am the mother and I am being treated for glaucoma, she immediately ordered my son to have a glaucoma test!
