WITH superhero collectibles ranging from figurines to costume collections, a man’s passion led him to accumulate up to RM50,000 worth of items at his home in Johor, Harian Metro reported.
Mohd Shaiffudin Rahmat, 42, has even allocated a special section in his house to arrange his prized collection, which include the Kamen Rider, Power Rangers and Transformers series.
“I can’t keep track of how many I’ve collected, but most are from the Kamen Rider series,” he said.
He explained that he started this hobby because he was unable to purchase the toys he wanted during his childhood.
Besides figurines, he also has about 30 costume collectibles.
“The most expensive is a Kamen Rider costume worth about RM3,500 while the most costly figurine collection is from the Transformers series, also worth about RM3,500,” he said, adding that his wife is supportive of his hobby.
“Age is only a number and no barrier to pursuing one’s hobbies,” Mohd Shaiffudin said.
> The daily also reported that a 39-year-old single mother takes pride in her job as a lorry driver.
“People may question why I chose this profession as I’m a woman.
“However, it’s my interest and I want to support my children,” said Irzunika Idris, who is a mother of three.
“My father was a lorry driver and I was inspired by him.”
Irzunika said she first began driving smaller lorries before moving to trailers.
“I’m out working the whole day. I miss my children but thankfully, my mother helps look after them” she added.
