A MAN is seen being held and pummelled by several others in a video that went viral on social media recently.
It is alleged that the attack occurred in Kampung Kutan in Wakaf Bharu, Tumpat, Kelantan and that police have arrested nearly a dozen people.
It is also claimed that the incident escalated from a family dispute.

Bernama quoted Tumpat OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Khairi Shafie as saying that a police report was received at 12.45am on April 1, and the case was investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.
"Initial investigations found that the incident stemmed from a family dispute which escalated into a fight involving both parties, with each sustaining injuries," he said in a statement on Thursday (April 16) night.
ACP Khairi said a total of 11 suspects, aged 18 to 67, were arrested to assist in the probe.
"All the individuals were released on police bail after investigations were completed," he added.
ACP Khairi also said a 36-year-old man will be charged at the Tumpat Magistrate's Court on Sunday (April 19) under Section 334 of the Penal Code for grave and sudden provocation.
He also denied allegations that no action had been taken against the individuals seen in the viral video.
"Investigations were conducted in a transparent, professional and thorough manner to ensure justice for all parties," he said.
He stressed that appropriate action had been taken against those involved in the incident.
