With the ongoing Middle East conflict spreading anxiety over Malaysia's fuel supply, there are claims the public can request for a quota increase for subsidised RON95 petrol under Budi95.
Is it true that Malaysians can apply for this?
Verdict:

FALSE
The Finance Ministry said there is no such function to apply for additional quota on the Budi95 website
In a press release on Tuesday (April 7) it said it was previously available on its website during the early stage of implementation but it was not for personal use.
"It was meant for specific cases with clear and verified operational requirements, such as e-hailing drivers and boat owners, subject to established criteria.
"This was misinterpreted as a platform to freely request an increase in eligibility limits and as a result, the application button was been disabled," it said.
The ministry added that the current 200 litres per month quota for subsidised RON95 petrol remains in force and that it would continue to strengthen enforcement to curb leakages, and closely monitor global energy markets while remaining ready to make necessary adjustments if needed.
