It was claimed recently that a live cow was pushed out of a moving car that was being chased in Pekan.

A cattle thief acted recklessly by pushing a stolen cow out of a moving car in Nenasi, Pekan, on Sunday.
Pekan district police chief Supt Mohd Zaidi Mat Zin said the complainant and several residents tried to pursue the suspect.
He said the suspect sped off and escaped, adding that the incident at about 4.45pm was thwarted thanks to the swift action of a 33-year-old mechanic.
“The complainant, who was at a workshop at the time, was contacted by his uncle and informed about a suspicious car in the estate area,” he said.
“The complainant immediately went to the location, saw a car carrying a cow suspected to have been stolen, and gave chase,” added Supt Mohd Zaidi.
Supt Mohd Zaidi said that during the chase the complainant saw the suspect open the rear door and push the cow onto the roadside.
“After failing to catch up with the vehicle, the man went to the Nenasi Police Station to lodge a report,” he said.
He said the case is being investigated under Sections 379 and 511 of the Penal Code and efforts to track down the suspect are ongoing.
