Did such an incident really happen as claimed?

VERDICT:

TRUE

The video is indeed true, with Kuantan deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Adli Mat Daud saying that a 25-year-old local man was arrested as a suspect in an attack on a farmer in front of a house at Kampung Sri Damai, Kuantan.

He said that the incident was reported to have occurred at around 7.00 p.m on Oct 31.

“The preliminary investigation found that the 38-year-old male victim knew the suspect, who invited him to step outside the house on the pretext of meeting a friend,” said Supt Adli.

He added that when the victim refused, the suspect suddenly pulled out a knife from the back of his trousers and stabbed the victim in the abdomen.

“The victim sustained injuries to the abdomen and was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA), Kuantan, for further treatment. His condition is reported to be stable,” said Supt Adli.

Acting on information received, a team of officers from the Jaya Gading Police Station successfully arrested the suspect in a nearby area shortly after the incident. The investigation found that the motive for the attack is believed to be an old grudge, and the suspect is currently being held to assist investigation under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt using a weapon.
