NAVIGATING city life can often come with its share of challenges, especially for senior citizens who may face financial constraints.
The Shah Alam City Council's (MBSA) latest initiative promises some relief for its older residents.
But is it true that seniors can now enjoy free parking in Shah Alam?
Verdict:
TRUE
MBSA has introduced a Free Parking Initiative specifically for senior citizens residing within its administrative area.
This initiative was announced on their Facebook page on Tuesday (April 20).
To be eligible for free parking in Shah Alam, you have to be 60-years-old or older and be an MBSA assessment tax payer.
The car you register with MBSA for the free parking facilities will have to be under your name and you can only register one car.
MBSA will be opening a temporary counter throughout May to assist with the initiative.
The counter is located in the Conference Room on the LG Level and will operate from 9am to 4pm on working days.
