A recent crash involving numerous vehicles has been making waves online.

But did this chaotic scene truly unfold at the Serenia Toll Plaza near Sepang?

A lorry crash involving 15 vehicles occurred on the slip road from the Serenia Toll Plaza heading towards Cyberjaya, allegedly due to a brake failure. The incident took place at approximately 3.30pm on Saturday (April 12).

According to Sepang deputy police chief Supt Shan Gopal Krishnan, there were no casualties reported in the accident.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the tipper lorry was travelling from Nilai towards Cyberjaya when its brakes failed, leading to a collision with 15 other vehicles waiting to exit the Serenia Toll Plaza slip road.

The incident has sparked a police investigation, and those with information are encouraged to contact the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Sepang Police Headquarters or reach out to Insp Muhamad Haziq Ab Karim at 017-907 6260.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Several videos and photographs of the crash have gone viral on social media, showing the aftermath with multiple vehicles badly damaged after being reportedly rammed by the lorry.
