A recent video circulating on social media has raised questions about a fight that is said to have broken out on the EDL Highway in Johor.

Is it true that an incident took place on this highway?

Police are tracking two individuals involved in an altercation on the EDL Highway heading towards the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex after the incident's recording went viral on social media.

Johor Bahru Selatan OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the 27-second video shows a man arguing with another individual.

"The incident involved a man driving a silver Honda HR-V who had a verbal altercation with the victim before pretending to hit him with a stick.

The police are now looking for both individuals to assist in the investigation," he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 12).

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities.

Based on the video, the incident is believed to have occurred during a traffic jam, but the exact cause of the altercation has not yet been identified.
