PETALING JAYA: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has refuted a viral message stating that he urged Melaka voters to reject Barisan Nasional in the recently-concluded state polls.
Sultan Ibrahim said in a post on his official Facebook account on Nov 15 that he had made no such statement, and added that a viral picture quoting him saying that was fake.
"This is a false statement being spread by irresponsible people over various social media applications," said Sultan Ibrahim.
Sultan Ibrahim added that the Johor Royal Press Office has made a police report on the false claim.
"Any statement or report related to His Majesty or the Johor Royal Family will only be issued by the Royal Press Office," said Sultan Ibrahim.
