BANGKOK: Thailand's health ministry on Monday (March 16) has confirmed 33 new cases of Covid-19 (coronavirus), the country's highest daily increase, bringing the total number of cases found in the country to 147.

The Public Health Ministry said in a statement that people should avoid pubs, restaurants and boxing stadiums, as they are congested areas where many of the new cases were discovered. It said another 51 people are awaiting test results.
