BANGKOK: Thailand is hindering Chinese tourists because of the Covid-19 (coronavirus outbreak), normally an unthinkable step for a country that relies on their spending for economic growth.

The government signalled on Saturday (March 7) it prefers arrivals from China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Iran and Italy to self-quarantine for 14 days to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 disease.
