WASHINGTON: The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will set up a fighter training detachment in the United States territory of Guam under an agreement inked by Singapore and the US, in a sign of deepening defence ties between the two countries.
The permanent fighter training presence at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam will be the RSAF’s sixth long-term unit overseas and the closest geographically to Singapore.
