Negri govt to ensure state assembly will not be dissolved, says MB

SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan State Assembly will not be allowed to dissolve and efforts will be made to ensure that the next meeting takes place as scheduled, says Mentri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim.

He said all preparations for the tabling of the Negri Sembilan Budget were complete.

"We have finalised it and are only waiting for the date to hold the state assembly meeting.

"We will do our best to ensure it sits as scheduled. There is no question of the state assembly being dissolved.

"As the head of the state government, I will not allow the state assembly to be dissolved," he told reporters after attending the Deepavali open house hosted by special adviser on Indian community affairs Datuk VS Mogan here on Sunday (Nov 8).

He was responding to a question on the state government's preparations for the upcoming state assembly.

The next meeting of the Negri Sembilan State Assembly is planned for Nov 26, with tabling of the 2027 state budget on Nov 27 and is awaiting consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar. – Bernama
