Teacher Education Institutes lectures to go hybrid for Deepavali holiday week, says Fadhlina

PETALING JAYA: All Teacher Education Institutes (IPG) can conduct hybrid lectures in conjunction with Deepavali.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek said it will be over four days, beginning from Nov 9 to 12 for Group A states (Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu) and Nov 10 to 13 for Group B (all other states except Sarawak).

"Through this facility, student teachers who return home to celebrate Deepavali can still attend lectures online," she said in a Facebook post today (Nov 2).

She added that IPGs can also apply for additional leave and replacement leave if there is a need.

"We want to ensure that learning continues to run well without neglecting the importance of time with family," she added.

Deepavali falls on Nov 8 (Sunday) this year.
