SERI KEMBANGAN: A Yasin recitation was held for the late Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali at her residence at The Mines Residence on Monday (Sept 28).
The recitation began at about 12.50pm, with family members and close associates gathering at the residence to pay their last respects.
Among those present were her children Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir, Datuk Marina Mahathir, Mirzan Mahathir and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
Also in attendance were Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and his fiancee Bella Astillah, former Dewan Negara president Tan Sri Rais Yatim, businessman Tan Sri Vincent Tan, National Laureate Datuk A. Kadir Jasin and singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza and her husband Datuk Khalid Mohamad Jiwa.
Tun Dr Siti Hasmah died at the National Heart Institute (IJN) at 9.20am on Monday. Her remains left IJN at about 10.48am and were taken to the family residence at The Mines. She turned 100 on July 12.
