PETALING JAYA: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have expressed their heartfelt condolences over the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
In a statement on Monday (Sept 28) issued by the Pahang Royal Household, Their Royal Highnesses expressed profound sadness over the death of Dr Siti Hasmah, the wife of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"Their Royal Highnesses hope that the family of the late Tun Dr Siti Hasmah will be granted strength and fortitude during this difficult time.
"Their Royal Highnesses pray that her soul will be showered with divine mercy, forgiven of all sins, and placed among the faithful and righteous," the statement read.
Dr Siti Hasmah passed away at the age of 100 at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur at 9.20am on Monday.
