MELAKA: The Melaka state assembly has been dissolved, paving the way for the 16th state election, says Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
The Chief Minister announced the dissolution to the 28-seat legislative assembly at a press conference Tuesday (Sept 22) afternoon.
He said that the dissolution would take effect on Wednesday (Sept 23).
The current state government's mandate is due to expire on Dec 27.
