IPOH: A 65-year-old man was found dead in the kitchen of a locked house at Taman Pusing Baru in Batu Gajah on Friday (Sept 18).
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the department received a call about the locked door at 9.39am Friday and arrived at the house on Jalan Melati 7 at 9.45am.
He said firefighters used a bolt cutter to cut the padlock and gain entry into the house.
“The victim, a 65-year-old man, was found in the kitchen and was pronounced dead by Health Ministry medical personnel.
“The victim was then handed over to the police for further action,” he said in a statement Friday.
He said five firefighters from the Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Station were involved in the operation, which ended at 9.53am.
Two police personnel and three Health Ministry personnel were also at the scene.
