King and Queen extend Malaysia Day greetings


KUALA LUMPUR: Their Majesties Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah, King and Queen of Malaysia, extended Malaysia Day greetings to all Malaysians.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, the King and Queen also prayed that Malaysia would continue to be blessed by Allah, enjoy lasting peace, and remain protected from all forms of adversity.

Sultan Ibrahim also expressed gratitude for the longstanding unity and harmony among Malaysians of different races, saying these are vital to the country’s strength and stability.

The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, called on Malaysians to continue strengthening unity and appreciate the peace and harmony enjoyed by the country in conjunction with Malaysia Day.

His Royal Highness also called on the people to nurture the spirit of tolerance and mutual respect, regardless of race, religion or culture.

“His Royal Highness always prays that this spirit of togetherness will continue to be upheld by the people in safeguarding the country’s well-being, so that Malaysia remains peaceful, prosperous and united for present and future generations,” read a post on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.

The Sultan of Selangor said the annual celebration on Sept 16 serves as a reminder of the historic formation of Malaysia.

“His Royal Highness hopes that this meaningful date will always be remembered as a symbol of national unity that unites all the people in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak in one sovereign country,”

Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, also conveyed their Malaysia Day 2026 greetings to all Malaysians.

“Happy Malaysia Day, Malaysia!,” said His Royal Highness.
