
Reshuffle brings changes to key positions at Bukit Aman and several state commands
PETALING JAYA: Police have announced a reshuffle involving 17 senior officers, with Senior Asst Comm Hamzah Hashim appointed the new Perlis police chief effective Oct 12.
Currently the commander of the Special Operations Force 69 Commando, he will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner.
As for DCP Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof and SAC Hakemal Hawari, they have been appointed to key positions at Bukit Aman.
DCP Ahmad Dzaffir, who is a member of the Home Ministry’s Crime Prevention Board, has been transferred to the Inspector-General of Police secretariat (Research and Development) with the rank of Commissioner.
SAC Hakemal, currently General Operations Force Central Brigade commander, has been appointed the Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA) as deputy director (general policing/disaster crisis) with the rank of DCP.
The reshuffle was announced by the police force secretary, DCP Datuk Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali, yesterday.
Kelantan Special Branch chief SAC Azli Amin has been appointed Special Branch (E5) principal assistant director with the rank of DCP.
SAC Mohammad Mashdik Yahya, currently Selangor KDNKA chief, has been appointed police secretary at Bukit Aman with an acting DCP rank.
ACP Mohd Fakhrurazie Che Sulaiman, Pahang Management Department chief, has been transferred to Bukit Aman’s Anti-Money Laundering Crime Investigation Unit with the rank of SAC.
ACP Nik Hadzrami Mat Hassan has been appointed Kelantan Special Branch chief with the rank of SAC.
ACP Romiza Othman, who is an E6B1 staff officer with the Special Branch, Bukit Aman, has been appointed Special Branch assistant director E6A with an acting SAC rank.
ACP J. Poopathy, currently Penang deputy Special Branch chief (Management and Coordination, has been appointed Selangor KDNKA chief with an acting SAC rank.
ACP Azam Aidid Abd Rahman, currently Bukit Aman Special Branch assistant director E9A, has been appointed Penang Special Branch chief with the rank of SAC.
ACP Ignatius Francis, currently KDNKA Operations Division assistant director (Operations) at Bukit Aman, has been appointed Kuala Lumpur KDNKA chief with the rank of SAC.
Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) Land Operations Division deputy chief, ACP Azhari Nusi, has been appointed principal assistant director at Bukit Aman (Crisis/Disaster/Training), KDNKA with the rank of SAC.
ACP Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin, currently chief assistant director of Narcotics (Enforcement/Prevention/General Policing) at the Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, has been appointed Dang Wangi OCPD.
At the district and state level, Supt Anuar Bakri Abdul Salam has been appointed Sentul OCPD, Kuala Lumpur, with the rank of ACP, while Supt Mohd Khairulzaman Ishak has been appointed Selangor Integrity and Standards Compliance Department chief, also with the rank of ACP.
Supt K. Saravanan has been appointed Negri Sembilan KDNKA chief, while Supt Muhammad Aidil Roneh Abdullah has been appointed Perlis Management Department chief. Both will assume the rank of ACP.
