Tearful Akmal Saleh pays tribute to Umno Youth leaders who passed away

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhammad Akmal Saleh fought back tears as he paid tribute to three wing leaders who have passed away.

Dr Muhammad Akmal was visibly distraught as he recalled the losses of the late Pengerang Umno Youth chief Syahher Redzha, Bayan Baru Umno Youth chief Hadzri Effendy and Maran Umno Youth chief Mohd Radzi Rahimi.

“Our brotherhood will never be lost. While they may have left, once you are part of Umno Youth, your family is ours too,” he said in his speech at the Umno Youth annual general assembly here on Thursday (Sept 10).

Moving forward, he also urged the Youth wing to never forget those who have since left them.

Both Syahher Redza and Hadzri passed away in 2024.

Mohd Radzi meanwhile passed away following a road accident last month.
