KUALA LUMPUR: As she searches for her husband, who has remained uncontactable since the devastating floods in Rasuwa, Hani Othman is comforted by acquaintances who have stepped forward to ease her burden.
Now on her 12th day in Nepal, Hani said she is doing well, having travelled there to join a search and rescue (SAR) operation for her husband, Fire and Rescue Department air special operations unit officer Mohd Fakhrul Munir Mohd Isa, 44.
She expressed gratitude that many of her husband’s acquaintances in Nepal had helped her and provided support while she waited for developments in the search for Mohd Fakhrul Munir, who is fondly known as Loe.
“I have lost count (of how many people have come forward to help with the SAR operation),” she said.
Hani said she might return to Malaysia in the coming days.
“It depends on the situation (whether I will return to Nepal). If necessary, I will come back,” she said, Bernama reported.
On whether she would travel to other areas before returning home, Hani said she had no plans to do so, as she wanted to leave it to the experts.
“I have confidence in our SMART members and our Nepalese counterparts who are also assisting. I am only helping to relay the information I have to facilitate their search,” she said.
She said no new developments had so far been received from Wisma Putra regarding the search, expressing confidence that everyone involved was working hard to locate all Malaysians who remained uncontactable.
