A FACILITY processing animal organs into fish feed has been shut down for discharging liquid waste into a tributary near Kampung Mambau, Seremban.
The enforcement action followed complaints about foul odour and river pollution, Seremban mayor Datuk Masri Baharuddin said.
Following an investigation, Seremban City Council’s Legal and Enforcement Department raided the site and seized a water compressor, an induction motor and three fuses.
“During the raid, workers were caught discharging liquid waste into the tributary,” Masri said in a statement, Berita Harian reported.
Masri noted that while the facility is locally owned, it was operated by two Myanmar men holding UNHCR cards.
The owner of the premises was not present during the raid.
The council issued a compound for operating without a valid licence, alongside an immediate notice ordering the cessation of operations and closure.
> Despite being in the limelight for over two decades, actress Fasha Sandha believes she does not yet deserve to be called the “Queen of TV Dramas”, Utusan Malaysia reported.
The 42-year-old actress said the accolade was too lofty as she still has much to learn.
“I am grateful that even past the age of 40, audiences still want to watch my dramas,” she said.
Fasha said an actor’s success lies in complete character immersion.
“When we take on a role, we cannot do it half-heartedly.
“If a scene calls for anger, we must truly feel angry. Never do things by halves,” she added.
