PETALING JAYA: Negotiations on a possible cooperation between PAS and Barisan Nasional are still ongoing and yet to be finalised, says PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.
He said PAS is always open to discussions with any parties to find a solution to the recent political situation.
“We are always ready to negotiate, including among parties who have strong Malay support,” he said in a Sinar Harian report on Friday (Sept 4).

He said this at a press conference during the 72nd PAS annual muktamar, which took place at Pengkalan Chepa in Kelantan.
Abdul Hadi was asked to comment on the developing relationship between PAS and Pakatan Harapan as well as the possibility of working together with Barisan in the coming 16th general election.
Asked about the opportunity for PAS and Barisan to work together following the latter’s stance that was open to collaboration, he said it was up to the coalition.
For now, Abdul Hadi said the talks were still in the process.
He also confirmed that discussions with Perikatan Nasional and Barisan had started and showed positive developments, while taking into account the recent collaboration in the Johor and Negri Sembilan polls.
