MEMBERS of three generations in a family in Shandong, China, found a common pastime in the form of skateboarding, reported China Press.
A 65-year-old grandmother from Weihai city took up skateboarding alongside her 43-year-old son and 14-year-old grandson.
Scenes of the woman skating on a board and performing tricks impressed much younger skaters at a public park.
Footage of all three of them skating together went viral online.
The son said his mother has been skateboarding for three years.
While it may look effortless to passers-by, her skills were the result of consistent practice.
“My mother has been skateboarding for more than three years and had put in a lot of effort. People think it is very impressive. But what they are seeing is the result of time and practice,” he said.
What makes the shared hobby meaningful is the time they got to spend together.

According to sources close to the matter, five youths, aged between 16 and 20, demanded the teenager join their group.
When he refused, all five beat him up.
The victim’s girlfriend accompanied him for treatment at a nearby hospital.
They lodged a police report and five suspects had been detained.
