FORMER Akademi Fantasia Season Three (AF3) star Elliza Razak has joined forces with nine other local artistes to celebrate patriotism through the launch of a new song, Harian Metro reported.
Malaysia Selamanya Merdeka, created and produced by MoShark Production, serves as a tribute to unity, harmony and love for the country, while highlighting the sacrifices of previous generations and the importance of preserving peace.
Producer-songwriter MoShark said the song aimed to encourage patriotism in conjunction with National Month.
“I wanted to create a patriotic song with its own identity that can be enjoyed by all Malaysians.”
MoShark said Elliza’s involvement alongside the other artistes made the project more special, with each singer bringing their own character and vocal identity to the song.
Besides MoShark, the others involved are Burn AF1, Nine Phyneballerz, Achik The Zikr, Tuah SAJA, Masriezan Masri, Sarhan, Fakhiz and Ikram Mirwana.
Malaysia Selamanya Merdeka is now available on the MoShark Channel YouTube account.
> Kosmo! reported that singer Noh Salleh has brushed aside criticism over the graphic imagery featured in the music video for Sang Penikam, his duet with Aina Abdul.
Noh, 41, said artistic satisfaction took precedence over public opinion, adding that the visuals were carefully planned with the director to complement the song.
He said he and Aina were pleased with the final product despite criticism over scenes depicting dismemberment, a beheading, burning and a shooting.
Noh also described collaborating with Aina on the soundtrack for the drama Cinta Dalam Sekam as one of the best decisions of his career, praising her dedication and ability as a singer.
