Cops yet to record statement of injured fourth victim in Immigration lorry crash


KUALA LUMPUR: The fourth victim in the tragic accident involving an Immigration Department vehicle is in stable condition and police will record her statement once she recovers sufficiently.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Comm Datuk Seri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali said the 55-year-old woman was injured when the lorry crashed into her family at the Maju Junction intersection along Jalan Sultan Ismail here.

He said police would record the statement of the woman, who is the wife of the male victim and mother of two female victims, once her condition improves.

"She is still receiving treatment at the yellow zone of HKL. Her condition is stable and once she has recovered, we will record her statement," he told a press conference at the scene on Thursday (Aug 20).
