PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested two men in their early 30s in connection with the serious assault of a man in Salak South in April.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Rosdi Daud said the suspects were arrested around Razak City Residences on Aug 15.
“The incident was reported on April 9 after a 29-year-old man was found unconscious near a temple in the Salak South area.
“The victim had suffered serious injuries,” he said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 16).
ACP Mohd Rosdi said initial investigations found that the incident was believed to have stemmed from an argument between the two parties.
Police also found that the first suspect had a previous wanted record under Section 354 of the Penal Code, while the second had two previous drug-related offences.
“A steel bracelet believed to have been used in the incident was also seized,” he said.
The two suspects have been remanded for one day to assist investigations under Section 326 of the Penal Code.
