AYER KEROH: PKR is hoping for a positive outcome from DAP’s congress on Sunday (Aug 16), when delegates will decide whether the party should remain in the government.
“We are certainly looking forward to a positive decision from DAP and are confident that, as component partners in Pakatan Harapan, our objective is always guided by what is best for the people,” PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh told The Star on Saturday (Aug 15).
PKR will conclude its national congress here on Sunday, while DAP will hold its congress in Putrajaya on the same day to decide whether to remain in or withdraw from the Federal Government.
A total of 4,264 DAP delegates from 1,704 branches are expected to vote by ballot on whether the party should remain in the Federal Government for the rest of the current parliamentary term.
